Emailing Chris Cooper August 6, 2008

A couple of times a week I receive an email intended for another Chris Cooper.

One Chris Cooper was sent an enthusiastic email from a friend excited about this news article: Supreme Court says Americans Have Right to Guns. His friend added this message: SEE? NOT ALL NEWS THESE DAYS IS BAD!

A Chris Cooper in Atlanta got me signed up on a mailing list for a hair salon in Georgia. I emailed the salon and they removed me from the mailing list. The emails stopped for a few months but they recently started up again. I emailed the salon back and told them that even though their place sounded nice, 700 miles was a bit too far for me to travel for a haircut. I also received a condo bill intended for the Atlanta Chris Cooper.

Somebody emailed me thinking I was a Chris Cooper in New York City, asking if they could stay at my place for the weekend. New York Chris' wife responded to all (including me), and she told her friend that they would be away for the weekend but she was welcome to stay over if she would feed and walk the dogs. New York Chris Cooper must be very popular. He has been invited to a wine tasting and a baby shower in the past month.

I regularly receive emails for two different Chris Cooper's in Chicago. One is a college professor specializing in Psychology. Sometimes his students will email me asking for an extension on a project or to let me know that they won't be in class today. I also received a job application from somebody looking for a Forensic Psychologist Position. I looked it over but ultimately I decided not to hire her. The best email I have ever received was a collection of case studies describing various Chicago area mental patients. At the bottom of the email was a note telling me to be careful with this information because it was confidential.
